When we came up with this quote, we wanted to plainly express that non-black people’s discomfort around discussing race is not reason enough to avoid the conversation. Being colorblind is not the answer. Centering your feelings of discomfort is not the answer. It is never appropriate to be comfortable in white privilege or sit in silence with racists. We hope to make people uncomfortable enough to be a part of the positive change that this world needs. It’s important to have difficult discussions about race and challenge the beliefs you may carry.
We've compiled a list of organizations, non-profits and educational materials to aid in anti-racism work. This is of course a non-comprehensive list but it's a start.
